Jacob Chan

My work is heavily based on my culture, being half Chinese and half English my ceramics focus particularly on traditional Chinese shapes and forms and then decorated with raw materials gathered from around the coastlines and mountain ranges of Britain. My work is then glazed using the soda firing technique at 1300 degrees to allow the texture and surface decoration to stand out.
