Simon Garne

My work is nautically themed with large and small pieces thrown on the wheel then decorated and sculpted. My work ranges from lighthouses, boats, shipping bouys and diving helmets made from stoneware and porcelain fired in electric, wood and anagama kilns to create different colours and textures. I have a range of porcelain tableware where I use a unique copper glaze to explore the textures of land and rocks in and out of the water at high and low tide.
