Having made pots by more traditional methods for over 40 years, we decided to experiment with 3D clay printing and built a “clay printer”, combining art, craft and technology in a new way. In the last 6 years we have explored new territory, making forms that cannot be made by other methods. Our pots start out with an idea inspired by a natural form, which we then develop as a digital design that will work in soft wet clay. New approaches to colour, texture and form make the pieces come alive.
