Anne-Marie Jacobs
Jacobs’ work is caused by her fascination with the extraordinary Essex salt marsh, often overlooked in the county famous for its big skies. Her slip cast, white earthenware, sculptural ceramics are abstractions of the colours, forms and lines of this edge wilderness. The work is always in vessel form but also pushes the boundaries of what a ceramic vessel can be with wall pieces, floor installations, stacking pieces and individual pots.
