Ralph Jandrell

A potter my whole working life, I come from a long line of craftsmen and women, all dedicated to creating, crafting and transforming materials into dynamic works of art.

My father was a skilled metalworker and draughtsman, my grandfather a carpenter , his wife a milliner, my great grandfather a master wheelwright and so on through the generations.

I am lucky to live in the area where my ancestors lived from atleast the 1600s.

My home, which I share with my lovely wife Kirsty, is nestled on the edge of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the breathtaking local countryside and scenery provides constant inspiration for my work.

I am a truly full-time potter, spending every available moment working with clay, designing, making, painting, glazing and firing my unique range of handmade pottery. I live and breathe my work, and I hope you can see the passion and attention to detail that is lovingly poured into each and every unique creation, from my handmade mugs to my tall and elegant, handmade and hand painted table lamps.

I have been a full time potter for over 25 years and I can honestly say that making handmade pottery has been the making of me.
