Jessica Jordan
I treat my clay as if it was a canvas, starting with a rolled-out slab of clay, then painter with underglazes, slips and pigments on the surface, I draw into the clay with anything that can make good mark in the clay surface. I inspired by aerial views of landscape and seascape as well as the south downs, and the change in the landscape through the seasons. My work takes many forms; vessels, bottles, bowls, sculpture, and wall pieces.
