Clay offers me a myriad of challenges – aesthetically, technically and creatively. I have an eclectic style and embrace a wide variety of techniques, most notably alternative firing processes such as raku and Indian Smoke firing. I love the collaboration between myself and the elements and often incorporate finds (‘treasure’!) found on the Thames foreshore within my pieces, elevating their lost, discarded status to a visual presence once more.
