Black stoneware, porcelain and Paperclay, Vessel-oriented individual pieces are entirely hand-built, with sprayed glazes and brushed decoration, emphasizing surface texture. Typical forms are sculptural vases, Wall Plaques and “Chawan” tea bowls.
“The warm feeling of the ceramic surface when holding a Chawan in my hand have to me a significant appeal. Not only the visual qualities of the tea bowl- form and decoration- but also surface texture. The tea bowl will ‘sing’ to me as I taste the warm tea.
