Amberlea McNaught

Amberlea McNaught is a contemporary British artist based in Sheffield. Flowing freely between two mediums, Amberlea finds ways to incorporate the art of Moroccan architectural plaster carvings, Stucco, in to tactile ceramic vessels. She works in a range of stoneware clay,s using only a knife as her primary tool.
“I am fascinated by ancient walls and floors, crumbling Madrassas and Mosques. Every day I feel I am on a journey to carve my own Alhambra.”
