Tydd Pottery

At the end of 2019 we decided on a complete change of direction from wheel thrown maiolica ware – decorated with cobalt and manganese dioxide -to large coiled vessels in a white stoneware/ porcelain mix, slipped and burnished and decorated by brush using black stain, and finaly sealed and polished.
We are heavily influenced by African and Pueblo techniques and designs and greatly admire the work of modern potters such as Gabriele Koch and Magdalene Odundo.
