Tens of thousands of years ago globular vessel flutes were made in stone, bone, shells and gourds. Between three and six thousand years ago, various cultures began to make clay vessel flutes.
In 1974 I began experimenting with techniques to recreate the sweet, clear sounds of the original instruments. Various keys and sizes are hand tuned to concert pitch. Twin chamber instruments enable you to play in harmonies. The English Pendant fingering system enable players to progress rapidly.
