My ceramics, both sculptural and domestic, distinguish themselves through their elaborate surface decoration. I combine researched historical and ethnological patterns with techniques and styles from international and historical ceramic traditions. The intention is to sensitively fuse these diverse elements to create ceramics through which I can explore ideas of identity and belonging. For this I use different clays, decorating techniques and glazes unified by my detailed hand-painted patterns.
