I am basically a sculptor who has chosen to use the medium of clay as a material to cast my work in.
I sculpt from a solid block of plaster and then mould and cast the form before starting working as a studio potter to reassemble the piece and work the clay before firing.
I have been concentrating on simple bird forms for a while now and I am slowly introducing more abstract shapes into the work.
I like to contrast the pure natural organic form with a clinical geometric machined cut line.
