Over the last 40 years my work has evolved from low temperature electric fired earthenware, to gas reduction stoneware and now to soda glazed woodfired stoneware. Being pots that are functional and used in the home has been a common theme, where art in everyday things can be acknowledged. I live in a clay and limestone part of the country, with woodlands close by, so it is natural to use and develop these ‘found’ materials for the slips and glazes that I use.
