Michelle Young-Hares

Current sculptural practice explores the nature of growth and fecundity, drawing inspiration from the natural world. Michelles’ ceramics are often complex constructions which playfully explore the experience of being alive, of growth and potential contained within the buds seedpods swellings and tendrils of plantlife.
Work is thrown, altered handbuilt and carved then multi fired to mid stoneware temperatures in an electric kiln.
